Happy Halloween & The Spooky Road to Oct. 2012

I wanted to thank all of you for coming to my Vintage Halloween Blog during the month of October and sharing your comments! I haven't had much time in the last couple of weeks to reply as much as I would have liked as it was a very busy time, but I'll be going through them more in the next few weeks. I hope to post more often through the holidays and next year leading up to Halloween, so be sure to bookmark and check back from time to time.

Hope you all had a fabulous Halloween and I look forward to more spooky blogging to come! Tonight we had 161 trick or treaters, so I gave out a lot of loot bags to the kids! Hope you had a good turnout.

If you want to share any of your photos from this year's Halloween and your decorations and displays, be sure to send them my way and I'll post them here.

Jenn:)

I try to check back here throughout the year... I forget sometimes when Halloween isn't top priority... It has been fun and I intend on returning for more fun!... Thank you.

Sigh. It's that anti-climactic day of taking down the Halloween decor. It'll probably take all week, but I had to start with the outside stuff, lest my skeletons and giant spiders wear out their welcome with the neighbors.

Hey, just got my lovely bag today, it was left on my doorstep by my postwoman. Very nice bag, I love it!

Thanks so much!

Hello!

I am wondering if you can help solve an old mystery. Do you recognize this old paper Halloween skeleton:

It appeared inside a Halloween card in 1970, so the skeleton is probably only 3 or 4 inches in size. It looks like an pre-made die cut paper product. I suppose it could also be a sticker, or cut out by hand from a greeting card or some other source.

A similar die-cut skeleton was made by Dennison in the 60s:

I would love to hear if you recognize the skeleton, or if you think it resembles any other skeletons you have come across.
Thanks!
