Keen Halloween in Phoenix Arizona - Sept. 28 & 29, 2013

Halloween in Phoenix comes a bit early this year with a Super Spooktacular Halloween show, Keen Halloween! It takes place on September 28 and 29, 2013 and will feature retro and vintage stylings, some steam punk themes, and more! We will be set up at Keen Halloween in Booth 24 with all of our great Vintage Halloween Store items including Bethany Lowe, Johanna Parker, Primitives by Kathy, Martha Stewart, Animalia Pottery, Beistle and more! Lots of charm jewelry with vintage style inspiration too.

Halloween 2013 at Cracker Barrel #2

I love these designs at Cracker Barrel this year! They are featured on a set of plates that you can buy individually and they also feature them on cups as well. The bat has that old-time lantern type face which is great!

Matthew Mead's Halloween Spooktacular

I just got my copy of Matthew Mead's Halloween Spooktacular! And it's Spooktacular for sure. Featuring great new ideas and coming in at 256 pages, it's a great resource for your Halloween parties!

Some of my favorites are the Creatures from the Deep spooky nautical theme for pumpkin silhouettes, lots of interesting pumpkin decorating ideas, the Poltergeist party was so neat as well as the vintage style black cats party. Here's some samples from the book that I especially enjoyed:

2013 Halloween at Pier One

I stopped by  Pier One recently and took some photos of some of their Halloween goodies. The hat/band above was festive and the apron below I like very much. The glass head was intriguing and the candles clever--kind of remind of Boney Bunch. The witch candle holder was fun.

2013 Halloween at Cracker Barrel #1

I stopped at a Cracker Barrel recently and they were just getting some Halloween out--I like the reusable tote bags (like store bags) you can get with the black cat silhouette and tree. There were a couple of figures that weren't on display yet, so I took pics of the boxes:

Halloween 2013 at Yankee Candle #1

The Boney Bunch is here! Yankee Candle stores had their annual preview party for the Halloween and Boney Bunch items today. I've never been before, so decided to go and see what all the fuss is about :) I got there close to 10:30 and the store I went to had sold out of the "Snow White" theme one. Most of the rest was on hand and is available online until it sells out.

Here's a preview of some of them. I got the headless farmer and a few other smaller items. What did you guys find and how were your experiences today?

Halloween 2013 at Michaels #2

Michaels has some fun Halloween headbands and witch hats this year! Shown above and below 4 of the headband styles--there are others too - I like the one above and you could embelish it with some skulls or pumpkins or a raven! There are some with spiders and then witch hat ones. Then below those are 2 full size witch hats and they had several styles of these. They would be fun for costumes for Halloween! Even a black dress paired with these accessories would be bewitching this year ;-)
